SELF-ASSESSMENT:

This term I find the vocabulary part difficult beacause I don´t know how show that I know that word. In the others parts of english asignature I can improve if I make an effort but english is one of the subjects that I find difficult but still I work a lot even that is´t seen in my marks.
I will never lose hope with this subject and I will try to improve!
Now to enjoy and rest in Easter´s holidays!




UNIT 4: LIVE WELL

NEW VOCABULARY

Grumpy: unhappy and bad-tempered.
Cheerful: full of cheer; happy, in good spirits.
Dynamic: pertaining to or characterized by energy or effective action.
Anxious: full of mental distress or uneasiness because of fear of danger or misfortune.

Phrasal verbs:


Calm down: to begin to feel more relaxed and less emotional.
Cheer up: to become less sad, or to make someone feel less sad.
Chill out: to relax and stop being angry or nervous, or to spend time relaxing.
Cut down: to reduce an amount of something.
Face up tp: to accept that a bad situation exists and try to deal with it.
Open up: to create a new opportunity or possibility.
Slow down: you reduce the speed at which they move.
Work out: to find a satisfactory way of doing something.

VOCABULARY:

Blade: sharp edge used for cutting.
Choked: made difficult to breathe.
Craved: had strong desire.
Crawled out: come out slowly.
Gasped: caught one´s breath to show surprise or horror.
Glow: a steady light.
Razor: a metal instrument with a sharp edge, used for shaving.
Tore off: removed roughly.
Wirthed: twisted and tourned in pain.
